The Tesla Model S P100D
September 04, 2016
It is official, the fastest production car in the world is a Tesla. Fresh out of the factory, Tesla has confirmed a new battery upgrade for the Model S and Model X, bumping the 0-60mph of the Model S to 2.5s.
This makes it the third fastest accelerating production car ever produced, among the company of the LaFerrari and the 918 Spyder by Porsche, limited run cars that are in the million dollar price ranges. To let it fully sink in, the Model S P100D is an all-wheel drive with four doors that seats up to 5 adults.

The new Ludicrous battery also increases the range of the Model S to an estimated 315 miles on the EPA cycle and 613 km on the NEDC cycle, making it the longest range production electric vehicle in the world today.

Both Teslas are engineered to be the safest cars on the road and to have the highest ratings from NHTSA, maintaining access to the Tesla Supercharger network for the freedom to travel long distance for free. And every Tesla will improve over time with free over the air upgrades.
