We’ve got to admit, this is a first for us too. Having run the gamut of future crafted premium designs, the last thing we expected to see land on our desks was a TV. But when it looks as good as this, it's easy to understand why.
Designed by the renowned London design house Bodo Sperlein for Loewe Technologies, the Bild 9 TV combines the very best of British design with classic German engineering. Inspired by the Bauhaus and Art Deco traditions, Bodo Sperlein has managed to combine sophistication with minimalism, craftsmanship with technological innovation and opulence with stylistic understatement. The Bild 9 is all those superlatives and more, a TV with a lightness that is immediately refreshing.
The matt gold frame creates a stark contrast to the top-of-the-line display, which, coming in at 7mm, might just be slimmer than the smartphone in your pocket. To ensure that the Bild looks just as good from the back as it does the front, a piece of fabric conceals the connections and cables.
While the Bild may look simplistic, one aspect it does not skimp upon is in its technological prowess. Switch on the Bild to see the TV come to life in the third dimension, with the display gliding upwards to reveal the soundbar. Armed with 120 watts of power from six speakers, the accompanying speaker packs a punch that most stock speakers just can’t match.
