Lamborghini unveiled the open air version of the latest one-off creation to their top collectors and enthusiasts at the Monterey Car week in California. A performance driven model, the Centenario Roadster is built on a carbon fiber monocoque frame with bodywork in the same material. It has a V12 engine delivering 770 hp and an acceleration of 0-100km/h in just 2.9s with a top speed of 350km/h. It also adopts the new rear wheel steering system, increasing turning agility at low speed while increasing stability at high speed.
Lamborghini continues to honour the centenary of its dynamic founder, Ferruccio, with this special commemorative series. Designers were given the freedom to create an open design that embodies the progressive qualities of its visionary founder and shines in an elegant environment. This roadster embodies a new design direction for Lamborghini accentuated by the clean surfaces while still maintaining its angular features.
And even if you did have $3 million to spend on this magnificent beast, every version of the 20 made in the world has already been sold before it even debuted.
Better luck next time!
